Hi Tim,

How are you? Are you still in Sinapore?

When visiting this website again after a long hiatus I realized what this website was missing: perhaps it's more convenient for users if, on the home page, they can click on the name of a category and see all the available items in that category instead of only the most recent items. For example: I want to see all the photos uploaded in the last half a year (of course!) but I have no way of seeing them.

Also, what do you think about providing a link on the home page that says something like "Users" and when we click on it, we'll have a list of links to all the users' pages?

Thanks, Antran 05/03/2009 13:46 (GMT)

Trailguru versus MapMyRide

If you want to spread the news I did a review of your app and site against MapMyRide and you came out on top, though the iphone app had a few more errors. Keep up the great work.

Review is here http://www.bikesarethenewblack.com

terrific application

Hi Tim

firstly, you have built a terrific application, used it yesterday, it works great, well done. I am a huge apple, fan especially the iphone and there is no doubt that it will be the next great mobile platform.

I am also the head of an organization called bicycles for Humanity www.bicycles-for-humanity.org

We send containers of used bikes, to Africa to support aids workers and to help all to a better life, details on our website

We are just going into Uganda, to set up the Ugandan Bicycle empowerment network with my friend Paul Sherwen, paul lives in Kampala, uganda and flies out for the one day events in the spring and the tour in July

We were thinking of building an iphone app, with some functionality that would identify locations collecting and sending bikes from here to namibia and uganda. We were thinking of a 99 cent app, all funds to go to shipping bikes to uganda and to drive interest in our cause. We also have a lot of corporate partners that might be interested in putting thier name on the iapp to help fund the cause.

Tim, writing to see if you are interested in exploring ideas

I can be reached at pat@bicycles-for-humanity.org

thanks

pat

again, great job, you have a wonderful and powerful app

OSM

I hope you also know and use OSM (openstreetmap.org) and their wiki ... ;-)

Another thing is: once a month I get an automatic email saying
