From Trailguru
Trailguru routes enable you to share routes with other users and to follow routes that other users have created on your GPS. This page is intended to be a quick start guide for creating routes using the two most common methods of creating them: 1) using a captured GPS track or 2) creating a route from scratch.
Using a captured GPS track is the easiest approach when you would like to build a route starting from a track someone else has already done. To do this, simply go to the track you would like to use and click on "Create route from Track." Trailguru' will ask you for a name and description for the new Route and then automatically create a route using the track for waypoints and take you to the newly created Route page where you can edit the route to perfect it.
The alternate route, often used when you don’t have a GPS to capture a track or when you are planning a route to do that you (or anyone else on Trailguru) hasn't done before, is to start with a blank route and add trail segments or waypoints to it. You can start creating a route in Trailguru by clicking on "Create Route" on the top navigation bar. Trailguru will ask you for a name and description for the new Route and then take you to the created route page where you can add trail segments, routes, or waypoints to it.
