Seen something that doesn't work correctly on Trailguru? This is the place to report it. Please give as complete a description as possible, including steps to encounter the problem. Posting to Facebook is not working from website. A number of users have reported same, say it stopped working Jan 8th. Says it posted, but never shows up on Facebook. Perhaps Facebook changed something on their interface.

Bug 1: There is a bug in TrailGuru for iPhone, ver2.1, running on iPhone 3GS with OS3.1.2. I made a phone call while running, but I went back to the TrailGuru app and clicked 'Start' so that it would continue, and kept running. Apparently when the call ended, Trailguru paused my workout. The last 1.6+ miles of tracks from my run are missing from the app and post. The Tracks can be seen at http://www.trailguru.com/wiki/index.php/Track:A4B5 Notice during the playback how it jump over the last 2/3 of the return trip.

Bug 2: I am also seeing on the iPhone app the 'Post Track' "OK" button bug listed below (via Steve Grimes). Button not working. Must hit the 'Home' button to continue after posting.

Hi, for some reason, I am not getting email anymore from trailguru when I post a new track. I have checked my address is still correct and working. I have also tried to change it to another working address, and I don't even receive the confirmation request email. Giovanni Punzi

Hi!

On my iPhone application, after I make a post (using Post Tracks and Photos button) of a "Running", the message that appears to tell you that the posting posted successfully and has an "Ok" button that appears at the bottom of the application, but the button does not work. The only way to get out of this situation is to hit the "Home" button on your iPhone.

Is this a bug? I'm using the iPhone 3G (16GB) version. Software version: 3.1.2 (7D11).

• HI, I am also trying to delete some Routes I have created as Test Routes. Also, maybe I dont know how to use the site, but the Test Route is 7.7km as shown on the route, but then on the route page it says 0kms. I need to delete the routes to continue evaluating the software. PLease. Thanks

Hello - The Facebook application is not working correctly - the information uploads but does not display on the FB app. The main content area is blank - i tested in both Firefox and IE7.

Also pictures taken on route do not pinpoint to the location on trail. Is that a feature that was removed?

• I have had some trouble with higher zoom levels in trail maps.

• I am attempting to create a new route, and after placing two waypoints on the map I receive an error stating: "setElementValue failed 2: doc: [object Element] element: distance". (The two waypoints are in Venice, Italy and Barcelona, Spain)

    • The route distance and times for each mode of travel are now calculated and displayed, however no elevation data is shown.
      • Actually, it is shown but we do not currently have elevation data when the route is between two waypoints (as opposed to trail segments from the trail database) and hence all of the elevations are 0. I have a feature request to automatically add elevation data from the trail database where we have it. That said, you can still download this route to your GPS for navigation purposes it will work great... Tim 21:52, 17 April 2008 (CDT)

Hi, Just downloaded your software and maybe I am thick but I cannot get it to work at all except for the timer!

I have searched forums and no one says anything. One review says he just can't get it to work same as me.

I love the sound of this App but just can't get started. The 'Record' button stays blue and will not activate.

I tried turning on and off music in' iPod' but quite frankly if that is the only way the program will run I find it frustrating as a Battery drain is bound to cut down the time spend out doors! Niether on or off worked anyway!

Please post or email some sort of instruction or set up. there is nothing out there!

There appears to be no way of sending feedback to trailguru by e-mail. If I am missing something please let me know how to send an e-mail. One of the reasons for wanting to send an e-mail is to let you know that I have been using the trailguru app on the iPhone and comparing the results with the Path Tracker app. I recently did a short 5 k walk with trailguru and Path Tracker. The walks were the same route under the same conditions. However, the track produced by trailguru was significantly less accurate than the path produced by Path Tracker. I have imported the Path Tracker GPX data into My User Page on the trailguru web site. I would say that trailguru needs to improve the accuracy of the GPS information collected by their iPhone app. If I had an e-mail address for trailguru I could send you the two GPX files for comparison.

SInce the last upgrade, TrailGuru have been unable to complete a walk. When I lose signal, instead of just making a funny noise and continuing when the signal is reestablished, it is just stopping the program and locking the phone. I am using your lock button when I start and keeping the program running. I lose the signal around the same spot everyday and that is where my map (and the program) has been stopping. It seems like a software problem, but I guess it could be a hardware problem w/ the iPhone. Thoughts? Thanks, Bob [stockschatz] 2.1.09

When I view my user RSS feed in firefox from the trailguru website (while logged in) I see imperial units for distance and height. If I download the RSS feed in another viewer application the same feed URL gives me metric units. Is there any way to specify which units the feed returns in the URL? [DaveMcM - 22/7/09]

I registered my wife for her to use with her iPhone but the web site sent an invalid email confirmation code, or at least that's what the web site says when I click on the link it sent. How do I get a new confirmation code? (I'm typing this from her account.) --Scott 7/28/09

Hi Guru's Is the program still upgraded before I put energy in it. Its now 26-sep-2009 and in the Forums I see its some time ago that the last feedback request from tpark's request for iphone is written Fri Jul 24, 2009 8:46 pm so I did put some input overthere but are you still working on the App or do I have to look for another App??? Hi I had a problem with splitting a track: I uploaded it from my iPhone, but forgot to clear the last one before recording todays track. So I "split" the track into two and deleted the wrong day in one step. "Save Track" then deleted the wrong day but also the current track has no points anymore. So I lost the track. Sadly I also cleared the track on the iPhone... Is there a way to recover the lost data? -- Tuxdiver 10/04/09

Hi My tracks are wrong! I'm not sure if I'm doing something incorrect? Briefly, I 'Start' to record my track and then click 'Stop' and 'Post'. Back home, when I view my posted track on-line, the track shows across buildings and army base, where in fact I could not have driven through those obstacles! It's not the first time I have this issue. - Which is also the reason I haven't use Trailguru more often. Why does it happen? --Cheers, RV 11/10/09
